System stands
System stands use modular components as the basis of the structure. They are usually faster to build and are more portable and reusable than custom-built stands. RedAnt Design holds a considerable stock of components that are available for hire to our clients. Clients can also purchase their own systems which we will store and maintain. System stands are often more cost-effective than custom-built stands, but this is not always the case. System stands fill an important space in the market – they can be as simple or as complex as required.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”15px”][vc_column_text]
Custom Stands
Custom-built stands are just that – they are custom-designed and manufactured specifically for a client’s needs. Generally, they are a more impressive and expensive option. However, these stands are less flexible and are not entirely reusable (although this can be factored into the design). Nothing beats a custom stand for impact and originality. You name it, RedAnt Design can supply it.[/vc_column_text][/qode_accordion_tab][qode_accordion_tab title=”Can I reuse a Custom Stand?”][vc_column_text]It is a myth that custom built stands cannot be reused. However the cost of storage, refinishing, transport and rebuilding is a factor. If the stand is to be used more than once it is important that we know this at the initial design stage, so that we can cater for this requirement. There are also always limits on the length of time for which a custom stand can be reused.[/vc_column_text][/qode_accordion_tab][qode_accordion_tab title=”Why do I need to provide you with a budget?”][vc_column_text]Exhibition stands comprise a wide range of materials and finishes. These vary hugely in cost. So if we don’t have a budget we can miss your requirement, either by designing something which is beyond your budget or by not giving you the high-quality finish you desire. RedAnt Design is skilled at supplying striking, high-quality stands within our clients’ budgets. A limited budget is just another factor we take into account. So a budget is imperative – without it we waste time and creative energy.[/vc_column_text][/qode_accordion_tab][qode_accordion_tab title=”Lead time for an exhibition design and quote?”][vc_column_text]Depending on our order book and the size of the stand, the lead time is 7-10 working days.
Large complex stands can take up to 2-3 weeks. The more time you give us the better, as it enables our design team to fully consider all aspects of your exhibition stand and make sure that you get exactly what you want.[/vc_column_text][/qode_accordion_tab][qode_accordion_tab title=”What are the Artwork requirements?”][unordered_list style=”circle” animate=”no”]
- Sized artwork must be submitted by the client, print-ready, to RedAnt Design 10 working days before the first day of build-up.
- Artwork for digital print reproduction:
Set up to 100% size, supplied in hi-res PDF format only (all text to be converted to curves) - Artwork for screen print reproduction:
Set up at 300dpi to 30% final size, supplied in Freehand, Photoshop, Illustrator or Indesign with all fonts converted to paths/curves. - No sample proofs will be run for approval without a supplied chromalin/colour match reference.
- For critical CI colour matches, RedAnt Design shall not be held liable for colour irregularities should a chromalin or approved colour reference not be supplied with the artwork.
- Failure to supply artwork to the above specifications may lead to a delay in the print job and incur additional costs due to necessary DTP time to prepare ready artwork.
[/unordered_list][/qode_accordion_tab][qode_accordion_tab title=”Why do I have to pay for an Engineer’s Certificate?”][vc_column_text]According to structural regulations, any structure over and including 2.5m in height requires an engineer to sign off the temporary structure. RedAnt Design uses the services of registered structural engineers. The engineer’s certification protects us, you and the exhibition visitors.[/vc_column_text][/qode_accordion_tab][qode_accordion_tab title=”What is a COC?”][vc_column_text]A COC is a Certificate of Compliance. All electrical installations have to be certified by a qualified electrician. RedAnt Design only uses qualified electricians who submit a certificate to the organisers signing off their work as safe.[/vc_column_text][/qode_accordion_tab][qode_accordion_tab title=”What is Council Approval?”][vc_column_text]The local council fire marshal is required by law to sign off any temporary structure at an event, ensuring that certain requirements for fire safety have been met. Safety of exhibitors and visitors is of paramount importance.[/vc_column_text][/qode_accordion_tab][qode_accordion_tab title=”What is Clip modular system?”][vc_column_text]The Clip modular exhibition is a lightweight system for building exhibition stands that is simple to assemble. It requires no tools. RedAnt Design is the sole supplier of the Clip modular system in southern Africa.[/vc_column_text][/qode_accordion_tab][qode_accordion_tab title=”Where does RedAnt Design operate?”][vc_column_text]We operate at any venue or event across South Africa.
