What should an exhibition stand cost?
Every stand is different, but as a useful guide, a professionally built custom exhibition stand will typically cost around R8,000–R15,000/m², depending on finishes, graphics, lighting, AV and complexity.
A substantially cheaper quotation isn’t necessarily wrong — but make sure the scope is complete and the price is realistic.
The cheapest quotation is only the cheapest if it delivers the stand you were expecting.
Before choosing a contractor, consider:
Track record — Can they demonstrate years of successful projects and provide references?
Realistic pricing — Does the quotation genuinely cover what has been promised?
Manufacturing capacity — Do they have reliable access to skilled manufacturers and established production partners?
Capacity & resources — Are they taking on an amount of work they can properly manage, and do they have the financial resources to deal with the demands and unexpected challenges of project delivery?
